He's just not ready!

Went to the doc this morning and there is no change in dilation. I am back at home in the bed for another week - she hopes. I am taking my meds every 6 hours instead of every 3 now so we will see what happens. I am thinking now that Garrett is way too comfortable and not ready for the world yet. The more he cooks though, the better off he will be so I have pushed my selfish want to have him now aside and praying for patience! In the meantime, i am enjoying checking out everyone and their lives on facebook!

Lily's surprise shower

Lily is getting married this weekend! Wish I could be there. We are so happy for you and Jordan! We had a surprise shower for her last week and here are the three preggers!

Hanging in there!

Garrett is still hanging in there. I have literally been on the computer all day and joined the facebook and skype world! I was tired of TV! Anyway, I go to the doctor in the morning. She said to bring my bag just in case but we will see. I could be sent home for more bedrest and continue letting him grow if I am not dilated any more. Or we could have him tomorrow!!! I would vote for B but it is not up to me! :) Thanks for all the continued thoughts, prayers, phone calls, emails, etc... We feel them all so keep praying for us! We will update you tomorrow!

Still No Change

After being home from the hospital for over 36 hours now, there is still no change and no new baby news. As long as i am in the bed and taking my medicine every 3 hours, Garrett seems to be pretty comfortable. However, if i get up, he may fall out! So I am staying down like I am supposed to and allowing him to continue to grow. Who knows how long this could go on. I never thought I would last this long so we will see. Continue praying for us!

What???

We have been trying to talk to Bailey about his baby brother Garrett who will be making his arrival soon! This face is his priceless reaction and his opinion about having to share mommy and daddy with someone else. He got into Paul's shaving cream and that is what is on his face!

A long 24 hours!!!

Well after 2 hospital admissions, 6 shots, 2 IVs, etc... here is the recap of our last 24 hrs. I went back to the doctor yesterday and she about freaked out. I had gone from 1cm and 40% to 3cm and 80%. They gave me another steroid shot and sent me back to the hospital thinking I would for sure have Garrett in the next 24 hours. When I got to the hospital I was contracting pretty good and they gave me more terbutaline to stop the contractions. They also still have me on procardia every 3 hours to slow them down. They did slow down and they knocked me out last night so I could sleep which was nice. My contractions were kind of back and forth today. They checked this morning and again at 2 and there was no change. They sent me home AGAIN!!! Which is very frustrating but better for Garrett to cook some more i am sure. I did get both rounds of steroids which means his lungs will be developed! Who knows when I will be back but I am home on bedrest and they are still giving me meds to slow everything down. It has been a long physical and emotional three days going back and forth from stop the contractions and you're having this baby in the next 24 hours back to stopping everything and sending me home again. You better believe the next time I go back I am having this baby if I have to wait until he is about to fall out!!! :) Just kidding. I am going to do what I am supposed to and stick to the bedrest regimen to keep Garrett healthy. He will come when he is ready and God is ready for me to be a mom of 2! Please continue to pray for patience for us and for Garrett's health. Since I am on bedrest i will surely keep updates coming. Thanks for all the phone calls, visits and prayers! We love you all and truly appreciate everything!

A little early!!!

I went to the doctor today and was already dilated of course since I have a habit of having babies early! I have been contracting for two weeks but they haven't hurt so I thought they may not be real. Apparently they are though. They put me on a monitor in the office and I was having them regularly. By my first sonogram I was 33 weeks 6 days yesterday so they sent me to the hospital. (I think I am 35 weeks today and he is measuring 35 weeks as well) In the hospital I got all three rounds of terbutaline shots, fluids and antibiotics for a lovely UTI which still did not completely stop the contractions. They gave me one steroid shot to develop his lungs but you are not supposed to have those after 34 weeks. They then gave me procardia which I can take by mouth and let me go home last night on strict bedrest. They did a test called a FFP which somehow tells if you will be in labor within the next 2 weeks. Of course mine was positive. I have to go back at 2PM today and see if I am dilated any more and maybe get one more steroid shot. I have still been contracting even on bedrest so who knows!!?? Just a quick update. Please pray for baby Garrett that he will be healthy. He definitely needs to hang in there and cook a little longer but I am not so sure that is going to happen. We will see. Pray for me too as bedrest and I do not belong in the same sentence. It is very hard for me to lay down 24/7 but I am making it so far with only one day under my belt. And I want to do what is best for Garrett!!!

Dancing Machine!!!

Untitled from Mamie Kosko on Vimeo.

Bailey loves MSU Football Games! Although he is watching every move anyone makes on the field throughout the game, his favorite is the band at halftime. He was jumping up and down dancing as you can see and keeping us entertained for sure!
